Tabatha McFadyen, soprano, was awarded first prize (the Mietta Prize) at the Finals of the 2014 Mietta Song Competition. Tabatha was also awarded the Audience Choice Prize, the O'Donnell Family Prize and was selected as the winner of the Murray River Festival Prize by Siobhan Stagg, last year's winner.The prize for the second placed singer went to tenor Brenton Spiteri, who also won the Arnold and Mary Bram Australian Song Prize.Leigh Harrold was awarded the Hugh D. T. Williamson Prize for the winning pianist and Alex Raineri took home the prize for the second placed pianist.Congratulations to all of our talented Finalists who made the 2014 Mietta Song Competition an incredible delight to experience. The exceptionally high standard of performances made this year's competition unforgettable!
