Patrons of the Mietta Song Competition

The Mietta Song Competition is deeply honoured to have the patronage of some of Australia's most distinguished musicians and singers.

The family of the late Dame Joan Sutherland AC DBE OM, who was one of our Patrons when the Competition was re-launched, has graciously agreed that her name can be honoured as our Founding Patron. Dame Joan's remarkable career is detailed here.

Her husband Richard Bonynge AC CBE is also a Patron and has been a Mietta Song Competition judge.

Maria O'Donnell is the much-loved mother of Mietta O'Donnell who the Mietta Foundation and Mietta Song Competition commemorate.
