Pianist Alex Raineri, who formed part of the winning pair of the 2014 Mietta Song Competition, is curating a concert program as part of a fellowship at ANAM. His upcoming recital, to take place on Friday the 6th of May, will feature a collection of works for piano, string quartet and soprano.

op. 48 (1900)with texts by Bierbaum and Henckell. These are fascinating and wondrouspieces that explore a quasi-chromatic harmonic world akin to the operas composedonly a few years later. This arrangement by John Rotar for soprano andpiano quintet was commissioned by the Southern Cross Soloists for the2015 Bangalow Music Festival.
Alex will be joined by a host of talented musicians including soprano Tabatha McFadyen, winner of the 2014 Mietta Song Competition.
