Gertrude Opera's free Master Class with Noëmi Nadelmann & Brian Castles-Onion Open Master Class is quickly approaching.
Originally from Zurich, Noëmi Nadelmann has had a 25 year international career as a lyric soprano. She has played roles such as Hanna Glawari, Lisa and Rosalind in The Merry Widow, Countess Mariza in the Gypsy Princess and the larger-than-life Wagner women, Elsa, Brünnhilde, and Elisabeth throughout Europe. Amongst her other international accomplishments, she received the Critics' Prize (Berlin) in 1996 and the Wolfgang-Amadeus-Mozart-Preis in 1996.
Brian Castles-Onion is one of Australia’s most exciting and best-known conductors and pianists, and our Nagambie Lakes Opera Festival Music Director this year. His recital and concert appearances have seen him as conductor and pianist for Kiri Te Kanawa, Sumi Jo, Frederica von Stade, Placido Domingo, José Carreras and Geraldine Turner, to name a few. His 2016 performances for Opera Australia include Tosca, Carmen, Opera in the Domain and the New Year’s Eve Gala; he also conducts Turandot (2016) for Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour.
